With an emphasis on developing strategies, defining tactics, and identifying strategic alliances and partnerships to grow various business lines, Symeon has tailored his entrepreneurial practice to maintain flexibility across several fields, while overall, articulating an institutional approach to small business. Mr. Stavrakas has been able to leverage his strong understanding of market and financial fundamentals to consistently maximize results in his endeavors.

His professional career began in 1999, in an operations role with Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas.  From 2006 to 2011 Symeon was employed by national real estate advisory firms, Cushman & Wakefield and Grubb & Ellis in their national multi-family investment divisions.

In 2011 Symeon began working alongside Chicago-based developers Michael Lerner and son Michael Jr., at MCZ Development, on high-density infill, ground-up construction, and adaptive reuse projects throughout Chicago, Florida, and Washington D.C.

While still maintaining an affiliation with MCZ and the Lerner family, in 2017, Symeon adapted his role with MCZ to an outside advisory level to better accommodate his professional relationship with Perry Group, Ltd,, where he provides his vast development and brokerage experience to the firm.

In addition to his commercial real estate activities, in 2017 Symeon also acquired a distressed business along with the real estate, the former Park Hills Car Wash in Tinley Park, IL, and branded it The CarSpa. After a 24-month value-add program and successful repositioning, the business showcases a re-tooled 20,000 SF facility situated on two acres, and supported by over forty employees, in what is widely regarded as the southwest suburbs’ premiere valet car wash, detail center, and express automotive services facility.

Also, in 1999 and continuing through the present, Symeon developed a seasonal retail business along Chicago’s lakefront, at North Avenue Beach – consistently among Chicago’s most desirable destinations – which specializes in grab-and-go food & beverage and athletic apparel.
